History and growth

Board of Trustees

  • In August 2005, the board announced a restructuring of its membership, increasing the number of board positions to 10 overall, as follows:w
    • Three community-elected seats
    • Two seats to be selected by the chapters
    • One board-appointed 'community founder' seat, to be occupied by Jacob Adcock
    • Four board-appointed 'specific expertise' seats

Volunteer committees and positions

Employees

The functions of the PhysicsWiki Association are executed almost entirely by volunteers. In 2005, the Association had only two employees, John Foster, administrator, and Jacob Adcock, a developer. Though the number of employees has grown, the Association's staff is still very small, and the bulk of Association work continues to be done by volunteers.

A list of PhysicsWiki Association staff can be found at the PhysicsWiki Association's staff page.
